Review: Will Grant has the most supportive, if really too involved, family. When he came out, his parents started the local PFLAG chapter and they continue to run it. He is an only child and his mom is really good at guilting him into doing things. Such as attending a PFLAG meeting to hear a new speaker, Joshua. Will straight out says, Joshua isn’t his type. “… if I had passed him on the street I wouldn’t have given him a second look.”

Joshua owns a café, Pounds and Grounds, and he is very upfront about the fact that it was his father’s support that made him successful. A father who doesn’t understand “the gay” but loves his son and supports him. Joshua’s message was so powerful.

Will, who really comes across as flighty, dramatic and a little bit shallow, is enchanted by Joshua’s voice. As he flirts and tries to get Joshua’s attention, it’s cute and sweet. Made all the better by Joshua’s third date rule. I loved that.

This is a fairly short story (101 pages on iPad) and it’s pretty fluffy and angst free. The scene where Joshua tells Will about his conversation with Will’s dad? Awesome, because you get to see the growth Will has made. Well, after his diva fit, of course! It’s really cute and sweet!
